Thanks Darren. Anyone else got anything that might be under the radar a bit?
Under the radar,it will take more than a radar to pick that lot up!

Hello,
The forgotten horse SUBLIMITY will win the CH on good or better going..
The Grand National will go to OFFSHORE ACCOUNT…
The Derby? a Mark Johnston charge…
Have you considered therapy?
January 5, 2010 at 19:00 #268032OK, here’s a not-so-obvious list (although maybe a bit ‘too’ random for some people!!):
Long Run – Sun Alliance Chase
Questerabad – World Hurdle
Spring Ghent – Cheltenham Gold Cup
Ginolad – Grand National
Overdose – Kings Stand Stakes
Meiner Gut – Epsom Derby
Wow those are dark horses. Are the two Japanese horses realistic runners over here?
January 5, 2010 at 19:31 #268038Wells Lyrical – Pitmens Derby
Lie Forrit – Pertempts Final
Kalahari King – Melling Chase / Rynair Chase
Sentry Duty – Aintree Hurdle
Tazbar – Grand National 2011
Go Native – Champion Hurdle (at a suprisingly attractive price on the day)January 6, 2010 at 14:10 #268223Punjabi – Champion Hurdle
Schindlers Hunt – Ryanair Chase
Quel Esprit – Albert Bartlett Nov Hurdle
Hurricane Fly – Rabobank Champion Hurdle
Steinbeck – 2,000 Guineas
St Nicholas Abbey – DerbyJanuary 6, 2010 at 14:40 #268233Ferdy Murphy has been harping on about The Hollinwell for the last two years now, and he finally came good two starts ago when he looked impressive after some moderate performances. Has obviously taken a lot of time to come to hand but Murphy is no mug when it comes to training class horses – think this one may come good this season or next perhaps at the Grand National festival in April (2 and a half mile race I would expect).
January 6, 2010 at 17:36 #268279Few for the pot:
Ascot Gold Cup: Darley Sun
Kentucky Derby: Lookin at Lucky
1000 Guineas: Special Duty
Arkle: Captain Cee Bee
World Hurdle: Big Bucks’ (Obvious I know but these three will be my cheltenham treble)
Cheltenham Gold Cup: Kauto if g/s or better, Denman if it’s soft (I don’t think there is going to be a lot between them)….and not sure exactly where she will be running next year but the Aga Khan’s Daryakana is a filly to follow.

Well, Meiner Gut is entered in the Derby, and his trainer, Hideyuki Mori (I think it’s him anyway) said that he’s got the class to run in the best European races, so we’ll wait and see. Spring Ghent to be honest is slighly more unlikely, especially as the Cheltenham Gold Cup takes place bang in the middle of two of Japans big chases, the Pegasus Stakes and the Nakayama Grand Jump. Spring Ghent was due to run in Japans second biggest chase, the £1.1 million Nakayama Daishogai on Boxing Day, but was withdrawn, and I’m not sure why.
As for the others, Ginolad was 6th in last years Nakayama Grand Jump behind Spring Ghent, but has since joined Venetia Williams, and I understand the Grand National is his target this year. Questerabad in arguably the top staying hurdler in France and I know his trainer Marcel Rolland has tentatively talked about the Stayers Hurdle. Long Run – well, he had his form franked by Rubi Ball at Pau the other day, and Overdose is repoted to be on the comeback trail.
January 6, 2010 at 20:34 #268311Somersby 8/1 Arkle.
Forpadydeplasterer 12/1 Champion Ch.On these two we agree, more fool us both!
I don’t think there’s even an embryonic market formed for the Foxhunters as yet, which is a shame, as I’d love to see what anyone can offer me about Roulez Cool.

If the weather relents in time (oh the pessimist) I plan to be at Horseheath on the 30th of this month which is the meeting at which Cappa Bleu won the Open. If anything comes up from that I will let you know
January 9, 2010 at 14:54 #268974Cashmans had a book on The Foxhunters up to last week, An Siorrac 3-1 Fav 10-1 bar but it’s been taken off their site and An Siorrac doesn’t run. Carronhills will take a deal of beating if he runs but there’s no news on his plans for 2010 not that I can find anyway
