Consider also: Douvan got beaten 5 lengths on his Rules debut, although he was a 4yo not 5yo as Jonbon is. That autumn of his 4yo year he beat Sizing John 12 lengths and as a 5yo (though technically not quite as he was a May foal) he was walloping the Supreme field.
