    Hi Nathan
I did see Born With Pride but didn’t take as long a look at her as I wish I had, she certainly went under the radar on Saturday and surprised everyone.

I do remember she went to post very well with high knee action and in her race she looked in control throughout and didnt look as though Tom Marquand gave her a hard race.
Beating the very useful Peaceful was an impressive debut for this well bred filly and she’s definitely one to follow and made a tough race look easy. :good: Jac

Disappointment of the race was Alpen Rose who lost interest quickly.

Tbracing and Rob North mentioned him earlier and have to also give a big shout out to another William Haggas 2yo horse to follow…
who won the Matchbox Future Stayers Nursery H’cap on 2yo Day at Newmarket, Wednesday 23rd October by 4 lengths.

I went to the pre parade ring before the race and just stood looking at him bring prepared for the race..you would have thought he was getting ready to run in the Guineas the care that was being taken with him by William Haggas, even a few squirts of water in his mouth begore going to face his public (like a prizefighter)..all worth it. :good:

Once in the parade ring amongst the other runners Convict appeared small alongside them and some of my racing friends were put off backing him..silly them  he romped home a little powerhouse who has progressed from 7 furlongs to 10 and will figure in some of the top races next season, he may even grow a little more. ;-) Jac

It’s not a very original call, but here’s to a great season from Pinatubo, the most exciting 2 year old I’ve seen.

I’d also like to give a word to Love, who I think could be an interesting horse for the Guineas/Oaks

I’m also an early days fan of Pinatubo as everybody knows, but making him fav for the Derby is quite mad imo  Haven’t heard of a Shamardal lasting 12f so far..
