A lot of quality in Camelot’s pedigree.
Obviously keep an eye out for David Livingstone, not that he’ll be a decent price given he’s an Aidan winner in one of his favourite maidens, but late-April foal who finished 5th on debut with a RPR of 70? If the 2yos are as bad as this year’s 3yos then maybe he’s a Derby contender, but otherwise no. I’d rather have Camelot.
Electric Qatar declared to run on Thursday at Haydock.
June 29, 2011 at 23:42 #362904David Livingston will be right up their at the end of the season after that performance. Was a good solid performance and picked up one of the proper maiden’s that can be a guide for future glory.

Electric Qatar last of 3, where do you get this shite from
June 30, 2011 at 15:30 #362980Racing against 2 previous winners in a Conditions event. I didn’t know until I looked at the card last night. God knows why Dascombe put him in that. Beaten only a neck & 3/4L though.

The time was so slow the winner will not get a Top Speed Rating
July 2, 2011 at 12:15 #363192With Zip Top being owned by the sheikh Mohammed will Zip Top be trained by Godolphin next year.

Something wrong with your ratings if you can’t give that a Speed Rating, it’s hardly Buccellati.

I see that Top Speed has given a rating of
16
to Ralphy Boy.
I just rated the race:
Ralphy Boy23
Silver Heels

July 7, 2011 at 16:50 #363819Ruby what you think of the 2yos races at Newmarket Both winners were impressive. And now you see Harbour Watch what you think now.
July 7, 2011 at 18:20 #363826Dascombe says in the Weekender that Electric Qatar runs in the Super Sprint. Absolutely his horse to follow, he says. ‘Has not yet done what we know he can do’.

Harbour Watch looked impressive but he has yet to put in a fast time, and taking into account the going allowance the race was run 3.76s outside standard, with his weight of 9.1 he achieved a speed rating from me of only
66
.
I had Frederick Engels top of my ratings with a figure of
93
and his race was run 3.56s outside standard, he also achieved a speed rating of
66
with a weight of 8.12.
None of the times at Newmarket yesterday were fast
July 8, 2011 at 17:35 #363928Rougemont was a impressive winner of a maiden today same race Elusive Pimpernal and Native Khan won in last 2 years.25/1 for the derby.Any thoughts

The time wasn’t very fast and
Rougemont
received a speed rating of only
73
from me.
He can improve on this as a speed figure of 73 on his first run is up there with the best.Gamilati
was impressive and went into the top three in my ratings with a figure of
91
.
July 10, 2011 at 18:17 #364193Not sure on the British 2yr olds at all now after this week. Very disappointed with the horse 2nd to Freddie Engells. No scope for those 2yr olds what so ever bar maybe the winner.
The maiden’s were okay, Hannon montjeu was impressive enough but very disappointed with the fair on show so far in Britain.
Born to sea is set to run this weekend i believe
July 10, 2011 at 21:20 #364220The 3 juvenile Group races that take place during the July Meeting are Group races to avoid like the plague. Of course there are exceptions, but they’re few and far between. Dubawi, Horatio Nelson and Attraction the only properly good horses I can stop from the last 14 odd runnings of each race.

July 12, 2011 at 09:27 #364368Hi all. My first post so go easy on me and I’m also a little bit old. I’ve been reading some interesting threads the last few months; I’d just like to say great work you guys do.
I’ve been studying 2yo’s for some years using Excel 2007 with VBA and older versions and have just purchased Access 2010 I’m new to this application. My problem is when it gets to around August with the increase of races and first time outs I get a bit lost with all the new form lines and have always had the idea of doing my own ratings at some point to help the process of selection. I like the work Thebluesbrother as done with his ratings, “great work”. I’d like to ask about the Racing post race cards and today’s runners as anyone any tips for getting these into Excel or Access?
