Had to have another crack at Goodwood very much in bum-steer territory!

Doubt if they’ll want to give Speakers Corner a very hard race today but he may not need a hard race to win this.

Leadlight did not grab me in terms of class and I’d have stuck to 6f with Charted Course.

Best that can be said about Market Leader’s Windsor debut is that he looks to have a bit of scope about him. Presume they have done some work on him since as looks a handful so maybe the the only races he’ll have are tough ones. Can Doyle settle him in behind leader on the rail? Purely value bet @ 4/1

    Purely impressionistic view here!
Livenka shaped tidier LTO at Fairyhouse although fast finishing Star of State maybe exposed her limitations. Average size suited to Naas’s undulations judging by debut here. My guess is that Livenka can lead them a merry dance unless she does a jig and I’d be inclined to bag this one. Maybe South Dakota will finish in front of Weekend Roar too.

Real coin toss about Fast Performer’s chances at HQ

Notts race was modest enough even if the rest looked comfortable on the fast ground
Today’s Jolly didn’t look particularly fond of it. Perhaps today’s ground will be a little more forgiving. Ceiren will have to take the initiative if the race lacks pace and that drop of Habitat in him may just possibly clinch it for him

    1 pt only definitely!

Now Into 4/5 which is too short

Trappy little contest at Gowran. Sergei may well prove his class but riding tactics options will be limited on this country track.

Bellesque has a different question to answer today in terms of ground conditions. Venetian Power not without a chance of getting into argument after showing some fight on his debut. I’ll give the nod to City of Dubai who plugged on grittily after a decent pace on his Killarney debut purely as a value bet. Who knows, Sergei mightn’t fancy that finishing stretch!

Not one for those with Widow/Orphan concerns as Group 3s like the Sweet Solera can throw up surprises especially when fav is weak in market

Nuit d’Eclair looks a decent 6f filly but not sure she can get that bulk past 7 so the danger could well be elsewhere

You wouldn’t pick Graceful Song on her size or the company she has kept but in the hope she has an efficient engine with that Zilzal Dancing Brave heritage et al

Expecting Billy to sit way out the back.
Can this drifting barge actually win???

Not Billy’s cleverest ride there – no business getting serious at the 3f marker
Would have at least secured 3rd without that bump. Charley Bishop showed him how!

Fav Scomessa Sicura at Salisbury and Sky Dancer over at Gowran shortly for a fun midweek 11/4 Double Chance!

Having a crack at the Median contest in Dundalk. Fav already gone in the first may not be a good omen!

Crayons is fairly average in size which may be handy here. Get impression she might prefer it either side of good but which side? Perhaps this all weather will suit.

Starlit was slow away and did her best work at end on debut but time wasn’t great

Hip Hop could be the danger and debut in Listowel will benefit her here but will she get home?

I think I’ll stick with DB Mac to work his magic at a premium of course!

Correction – Fav is decent size!

If Carroll gets Nando out handy as usual and slows things down she has a decent chance. And down in class Prince of Peppaed too against the field!

Lancaster Tower is worth an interest bet at 2’s to strike in Yorkshire if Oklahoma doesn’t much fancy the geography. Looks the type for these conditions and may strip fitter this afternoon. But has he the class? Just up Buick’s Fiord and Gosden will have no problem holding forth for any speeches!

Intriguing Sandown maiden and hard to split the probable and possible

Billy needs to jump Thunder Home out from same draw and set solid fractions like previous C&D and hope others meet trouble in behind. Ascot race suggests he can do this. 7f seems its limit at moment

Algaihabane should find these surrounds far more appealing and looks like he’ll handle this ground well, not being particular big may not be a disadvantage around here. Could well make his stamina count

    Thunder Home Win
    Saver on Algai

    Cue: both finish unplaced!

Would be good to see Tall Trees overshadow the Flower Show and and be rewarded for gutsy performances. Going concerns allayed just a little by how she’s handled Newmarket and Sandown already. Jamie will need to keep her handy to avoid a wall this time although she should have more time in this ground. Minimum stakes!

Empress Jingu should like ground and could place.

Would be a surprise if Bayside is as good at ploughing the Sussex Downs as clipping the Esher turf

I’ll roll with Aperoll with a possible saver on Light of Dawn in case her class outweighs going and stamina concerns
