The grounds actually faster than yesterday if those going stick readings are anything to go off

“Wasn’t expecting Stradivarius to be odds against so have had some.”

So have I, Mike. Took the 6/5 last night. Hope it is a big a gift as Love was at the same price yesterday.

I reckon the Frankie factor will kick in before the off and he will start odds on.

Twilight Payment has had a couple of runs to come to himself and is a reliable old stick. He should appreciate the ground and is worth an ew.

My antepost bet Sir Ron Priestley was a complete no go- like him, Nayef Road was disappointing so far this season but I might chance an ew on him too if he stays a big price.

Subjectivist will win today. Backed him ew because I can but fully expect the win.

A few of these wouldn’t look out of place in the Stayers Hurdle…..and if I had them, they would be.

Good performance by the winner and good ride from Joe Fanning. Really pleased for him.

He might have won anyway but not convinced that was Dettori’s finest hour.

You could see it coming a long time before it did

Princess zoe stopping him from pulling out then several horses slowly falling back into his lap

His decision to pull stradivarius to the inside rail at the start cost him any chance really

Change the jockey and Strad may have got 2nd but Subjectivist wasn’t even really asked.

If these two horses meet again then Subjectivist is heavy odds on to beat him again.

“You could see it coming a long time before it did”.

You could – but in the end he has still only finished fourth. It was not a great ride but given his finishing position I am not convinced he would have won even with a clear run.

Moore’s ride in the Ascot Stakes on Tuesday was far worse, in my opinion.

I echo FF91 thoughts regarding Strad’s early position. I saw it coming once Zoe didn’t drop away.

Cork, in the last furlong Frankie pretty much gave up. A tender hands and heels.

Yes Stradivarius wasn’t in the best place but why? Usually races closer to the pace. However, Frankie talking to Luke said “hope he wakes up” and to my eyes looked lethargic beforehand. Usually more on his toes and / or showing more energy in the paddock / to post. Therefore suspect Stradivarius was just not himself today, slower away and turn of foot missing.
