My main bets are:
Win bets:
The Last Samuri 40/1 and 29/1
Anibale Fly 14/1 to 13/1
I Just Know 27/1
Houblon Des Obeaux 40/1
(backed those four for a place this morning too).
Virgilio 80/1 and 89/1
(Unfortunately also did non-runners Native Ruler and Wild West Wind ante-post)
Had a couple of savers too, but I won’t bore you with them.I’ve got out of Virgilio now, trainer put me off and… (Looking again) probably better on a sounder surface and asking a lot for him to stay under these conditions.
So only four main bets for me this year.
May every punter back the winner and all horses come back safely.

Oh ye, of little faith
April 14, 2018 at 15:53 #1350474Indeed, Steeplechasing. The trainer would have put you off Mohayyed before the County, too.
April 14, 2018 at 15:53 #1350475With the sunshine they’ve been having all day the ground is going to be like superglue out there. Between that and the warm temperatures come post time I can see a slow motion finish on the cards. Prey to God they don’t overdo it out there. The last thing we need is images from 2011 again.

I know Joe, don’t often take any notice of trainers, but Skelton seemed particularly negative and do think I missed his going requirements. Have changed my mind on another too. Backed Total Recall as a main bet earlier on in the week, then with the ground a concern laid most of it back to make him just a “saver”. Now – with the Maghull time not as slow as expected – backed TR back so it’s again a “main bet”.
Value Is EverythingApril 14, 2018 at 16:10 #1350480Bloody nuisance, Ladbrokes has crashed and been down for the last 10 minutes. I’ve got plenty of
accounts that I can use, but it’s annoying as I’ve good bit lying with them.April 14, 2018 at 16:18 #1350483With the sunshine they’ve been having all day the ground is going to be like superglue out there. tbh I don’t hold to that way of thinking. To me, a faster time indicates the ground is less testing than it was yesterday.
However, it’ll be the added heat that might mean they’ll finish tired.
Value Is EverythingApril 14, 2018 at 16:52 #1350489Fancy Chase the spud not not confident. Very open and have a few in this – Thunder and Roses, I just know Houblon Des Obeaux, Tervour Nivernais, Final Nudge, Virgilio and Lord Windermere. Far too many
My female pinsticker chose Childrens List – hope they all come back safe
Good luck all
April 14, 2018 at 17:13 #1350491Two stabs for me are Anibale Fly 12/1 and Valseur Lido at 100/1.
Good luck all.
April 14, 2018 at 17:14 #1350492Lost my voice and I’ve definitely trodden in something, I’ve had an incredible couple of days. Backed Thomas Patrick in the 3.40… Bet365 gave me a free £50 bet in the 4.20, which I put on Identity Thief at 16-1.
Got another free £50 bet for the national, so I’ve added Blacklion at 14-1 to win.
Good luck all.
