I usually have one already on my shortlist for this, but wasn’t sure about it this year, but one or two definitely catch they eye.

    List of entries……….

I’d be surprised if this was the season plan for Empire of Dirt, or Cause of Causes, and the same would apply to a few of them, so a select shortlist for me at the moment, and all of these look a fair price.

Fine Rightly – Big fan of the horse, and just short of G1 Level. The mark of 150 is fair, he travelled like a dream behind Douvan a few weeks back, and likes it here. 16’s is fair.

Prince of Scars – Not convinced this is a serious entry, but he’s always been on my radar, and also looked one for the better handicaps. Probably needs it soft, but he’s another who’s big at 16’s, and if the rain came, he’d be very interesting.

Stellar Notion – The switch to Henry De Bromheads yard looks to have done the trick, and he’s had 2 rock solid runs in The Munster National, and Paddy Power Chase. He’s got an obvious chance on those 2 runs, and the 20’s with Paddy Powers looks very generous.

Kylecrue – Has had easily his best season ever, and after a busy spell, which was rounded off by his fine 3rd in The Munster National, he’s had a nice break. If in the same form as before, a real danger to all, and still on a decent mark, despite the season he’s had. 33’s is far too big.

Dromnea – Rarely runs a bad race, and though I think he’s probably just short of the standard required for Aintree, I’ve always suspected that that is what connections want for him. This could be his last chance to get a rating to make The National, so you can be assured he’ll be giving it 100%. 33’s makes sense, certainly from an each way stance.

Gun to my head, and I’d say Fine Rightly at 16’s, but I’ll chew it over for a bit, but I will be having a go.

A few of my NH horses for this year are out in the space of 3 weeks by the looks of things. Checked oddschecker an hour ago and saw this race pop up and there he was. Fine Rightly to win @ 16’s

I thought he ran well against Douvan a ccouple of runs back but last time he was never put in the race in the slightest to my eyes.It was a very good race but hopefully that’s not all he has to offer this year.

They’ve done some job getting him a mark. 140 seems very lenient once he gets his ground and trip :good:

I’m not too sure what i’ve done here in my highlighting attempt  but that above comment applies to Prince of Scars

Shame he didn’t make the cut Fran, but he’s in The Thyestes, and goes without saying he appeals for that as well.

Finally had a bet in this,, and from the original shortlist I’ve sided with Stellar Notion to win at 10’s, and Dromnea each way 25’s. Missed a bit of the bigger odds, but wanted to survive to the 5 day decs, and very happy that both these 2 will make it now. Kylecrue still appeals as well, and could easily add him on the day.

I’ve gone with Space Cadet here at 10/1. He ran well in second in a handicap at Punchestown before Christmas, and Gordon Elliott has farmed these big handicap chases this season. He doesn’t win as often as you’d like but has only been out of the first 4 once in his life and looks sure for a good show here. Have also had an e/w double with After Rain in the hurdle.

Had a bet on Killer Crow on the exchanges to win @ 34.0

Second to Empire of Dirt in it last year getting 4lbs. Dropped 5 lbs since and the assistance of Meyler taking another 3 off.

He must come in sometime

Yeah agree with botchy, Killer Crow’s definitely going in very soon and this looks like it could be the race for the reasons my learned friend already pointed out. They’ve even kept in Clarcam so he can run with 10lbs less on his back :D Bit late to the party but got 28/1.

The only horse in this that could have been an RSA sort is A Toi Phil and on that assumption alone my £20 win has gone on at 13/2.

The Paparrazi Kid has obviously had plenty training issues but Mullins has kept him in the yard and he’s capable of good form. Worth chancing at 33s

I’m with you botchy on KC. I keep expecting him to land one of these, he’s been well
enough touted in the past. I reckon he’s worth a few quid e/w at 25s with PP

90% of that went absolutely perfect for Killer Crow, and then suffered three instances of interference, the first of which was race-ending. Going easily alongside the winner before being hampered by the faller.

Had Jack got beat there I would have had to put the Fois Gras back in the Fridge…20’s in running and I wouldn’t have taken 200’s..Class horse in the race returned at 7/2 :mail: :mail: :mail:
