Gord, fair play on the prices you got for that Supreme and CH, but he didn’t get mugged: he just didn’t finish off his race as so often happens with him.

For the first time I can recall, he did not travel keenly last time. If he settles again tomorrow, I might well lay him for a place.

You are quite right Joe but that ‘Supreme’ loss still hurts now when I watch it…£2k stolen from my purse is how I see it. :rose:

Thanks Ginger, very happy with that price, especially as it was a definite “no bet” race for me. Only for a few quid, and I’d gladly sacrifice him for a big run from Old Guard, but like yourself, don’t fancy him at all based on this seasons runs.

I am quite surprised as the race has not panned out as I expected

the new one, mister miyagi, my tent or yours

My tent or yours will still probably win but it wont have my money weighing it down.

Not a race that excites. I can see Mister Miyagi & Court Minstrel being nons. My Tent Or Yours should win by about 7 lengths from The New One!

My Tent is on a losing run spanning nearly 2 years since obliging in an all-weather jumpers bumper, since then he’s been defeated at odds of 3/1, 11/4, EVENS & 10/11 and has still to win round Cheltenham in 3 attempts.

I wouldn’t want to be on at 11/8.

Intetestingly I’m all over it at 11/8.

Up against a horse who will possibly need the run and getting weight, as well as the fact that he run well for a very long way last time out on heavy ground, I think My Tent Or Yours wins this nicely.

    C 4 Shocker

Horse stopped last time by Muzzel preventing horse opening mouth and breathing, no wonder he didnt find much. LOL

    VTC and BigG,
50/1 and 33/1 isn’t just value, you got massive value!
I make him a fair 14/1 shot now! Unfortunately I can’t get Stan James’s 25/1, so taken 20/1 each way.

    Also done 4/1 Mister Miyagi.

Don’t think My Tent Or Yours is priced too badly @ 6/4 on that ground tbh.
It’s Old Guard and The New One who imo look far too short and make the book.

    All change!
Worked out this race for Good ground, now looks like Soft by off time.

Court Minstrel NO chance, Mister Miyagi and MTOY less and TNO has a far better one.

    Value Is Everything

It’s a net muzzle SC, basically a string net put around the mouth. Usually used with biters but sometimes works on hard pullers.

What looked like half a chance on Court Minstrel when the bet was placed, now looks
like trying to canoe upstream without a paddle :-(

Mtoy @6/4 seems fair to me.

If you go to back a certainty always buy a return ticket.

Mtoy is an absolutely ridiculous price. Hasn’t won a hurdles race since 26th of December 2013. Was soundly beaten the last day out by chitebello (giving 2 pounds, despite being rated 19 pounds superior) and melodic rendezvous off level weights (rated 24 pounds superior than him, yet beaten by two lengths)

He is running today in a vastly superior race and people think that 6/4 is good value. The bookies are laughing all the way to the bank every time this horse runs. People talk about coming second in the aintree and champion hurdles. Probably the worst aintree and champion hurdle in a long time and he was beaten by 17 lengths and 5 lengths by a horse rated the same as him at the time. The horse is clearly in decline so no point in backing him on the basis of what he did 3 years ago.

I think this is far more interesting for the tactical battle than the quality of race. Several runners like to travel off a strong pace. Hoping that Richard Johnson will dawdle in front and turn this into a battle.

he gets in here no penalty, its the plan. LOL

The muzzel will be off and the beast will be unleashed. He is better than ever.

A couple of 40K bets will be going on (christmas money) and he will evens at the off.

    B-)

Yes stilvi, I’ll be interested to see the tactics here, and that will be enough for me as my money will stay in my pocket for this one
