This may be an extreme example – the seemingly exceptional jolly has definately scared some off (

no matter what Gingers lad says

). But i wouldn’t want 6 runner Arkles to become the norm, and i doubt many would.

    :?

Haven’t we said the same thing PC?

    We agree.

Gingertipster – i’m unsure as to whether you are tongue in cheek or have misunderstood – by "Gingers lad" i mean Donald McCain.

Looking forward to the race – but less looking forward to it being 6 runners. The Jewson has taken most of the runners – one of the biggest mistakes since the festival got the extra day  . Needs sorting in the fixture list as this is one of my favourite races – not with 6 runners tho

Tis a disappointing turnout and I just cannot have Sprinter at that price. I think

    Al Freof

can do him at a far more generous 3/1.

Don’t get me wrong, if Sprinters proves to be the next Kauto Star, great, but on this track against this field he has to be worth opposing IMHO.

Ground is very fast. Track record could be under pressure.

Fair play, that was breathtaking. al FEROF a bad mistake, but doubt he’d have won.

    I stand firmly corrected.

Bad start :( Well done to all those who had tipped up Sprinter Sacre months ago, all the debates put to bed. I’d like to think Al Ferof could have made more of a fist of it were it not for the error, but there was only ever going to be one winner.

Ted Walsh just made a potentially good point. Sprinter Sacre’s already had a wind op – could that catch up with him in time? Let’s hope not as we could have a true great here.

Sprinter Sacre is a two miler, will never run over further unless he settles far better.

Shame Al Ferof banked the ditch, would’ve been interesting to see what he could do. But Sprinter sacre won so easily it’s difficult to see any other winner.

Champion Chase 2013 his for the taking. 7/4 looks tempting.

With Ted, there has to be a negative when a British horse wins.

Stunning performance from Sprinter Sacre. Wow – can’t wait to see what he can do in the future.

Delighted to be proved completely wrong. Not the first time and certainly won’t be the last. Stunning performance, hope Nicky manages to keep him sound as he is a big old beast but jebus can he leap. Up there with Master minded’s first Champion Chase for me as a performance. Thank you Mr Power for your offer.

Again well done to Hurdy, first 2 winners.

But actually I think that was Sprinter Sacre’s least impressive performance over fences. Not beaten Cue Card by that far. Flat track SS infinitely better I think.
