    Not a great G1 race overall (the 3rd to 8th placed horses were covered by just 1½L) but the further he went the better he looked and as this was a 9F race you have to wonder if he would have the speed for a 2000g, although it likely would be the best starting point for a Derby campaign.

    He does have a Dewhurst entry (would dropping back 2F really suit him though?) but he also is in the Royal Lodge and Beresford Stakes both over 8F and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we didn’t see him in the G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud over 10F in late October, a race that Pierre Bonnard won last year.

    Not sure I’d back any Ballydoyle horse for this ante post.
