I think the worse thing is the edit. Like I said if we all edited out our losing bets the forum would be a laughing stock. How Mike can’t see that is strange. Its a kin to cheating. He got caught out and said caught out for what? and liked you said CAS he’s doesn’t do himself any favours

Should have stuck it out Mike, you’ll get a better cash out when he bolts up next time out.
The horse that beat him is obviously good but a big brute who could be an out and out 2 y/o hence Appleby saying he’s the best at the moment but they have better. He had more experience and it was Abraham Lincoln’s first run abroad.

Agree Nathan. As Glad said earlier, it wasn’t a bad run at all from Abraham Lincoln.

As I see it, he travelled into the race like the best horse but he was raw and green and his inexperience caught him out.

Whether or not he is a Guineas horse is debatable but I expect him to leave the run behind next time.

As such, I have thrown a fiver on him at 20/1 for the Guineas.

Nathan, editing out losing bets would be naughty and I, for one, don’t do it. You would likely have seen enough of my picks at a weekend to see that I have never removed a horse that i backed, and running for me, which lost a race.
In this instance I edited my antepost post, thus removing the horse, as I don’t have the antepost bet no more for a race that hasn’t been run and won’t be run for a good while. Using words like ‘being caught’ and ‘cheating’ for removing an antepost bet i no longer have is crazy, it was done to remove a horse I no longer have a bet on. If I had just left the post there and be congratulated for backing it when the race was run wouldn’t be a great situation in comparison.
You have since suggested, as an alternative, to me leaving the bet up rather than removing it and then say i no longer have the bet in a following post where applicable. I have taken that suggestion on board for future posts.
And if Abraham Lincoln were to move up the gears for the rest of the season there is nothing stopping me from backing him in the future.

Regarding the cash out confirmation, that has already been sent by me to the site owner, so there should be no issues on that score.

I would suggest we just concentrate on the 2027 Guineas itself moving forward on this thread.

Mike I’m sorry but I go back to Bobbys comments , someone who full access to what’s on the forum , you have previous with this , why are you editing at all , you could simply update on the thread ( I know some are dubious on your cashing out ) I’m sorry but it’s time to change your behaviour here , the guys on here such as Bobby , Matron and McCormack who are putting in the time to keep the forum going simply don’t need the stress and irritation of it , surely you can see that , I’m sorry if you think I’m being harsh but as I said prev it’s time to step back and reaccess

Not crazy at all Mike. You are erasing the history of your bet on here. I think admin should disable your ability to edit or delete because it’s something you have been “caught out” doing before
If you cash it out, just say, rather than delete/edit the post. It gives a false impression of your tips to outsiders looking
Your portfolio is private and has nothing to do with the forum. Stop cheating and own your tips and cash outs rather than hide the ones you no longer fancy
By the way, I can keep this up until after the 2027 guineas run because maybe it’s what you need as you don’t learn

I have nothing to add on the subject as I have already explained it.

Mans best friend i thought a good tip for the actual 2000 guineas and a very apt one the way this thread has gone. Lets all play nice. Im too old for this bickering. Hugely impressive last week. Reminded me of highland reel in the vintage many moons ago but looks more like paddington(The horse that is not the bear) Might be better over further though the way he finished. He had loads in hand at the end.

What did you make of Victory Speech’s spin around Ballybrit on Saturday, Mickey? Was it just the “circus ring” that made it look good?

Looked a meh race but you never know with aidans runners at galway or killarney. Probably turn out a decent maiden.

    DESERT CASTLE 14/1

Still a bit green which you expect but got a engine and with this yard having a good record in race think be number one horse.

    PORTA VECCHIO 50/1 EW

If looking at a big price EW then be this one won maiden very well the 2nd Victory Speech won since. Weld said after win that since February had the National stakes plan. So likely return to Curragh at Futirty

Victory speech looks a middle distance horse for next year

I was hugely impressed with Darkness Falls on Saturday.

I don’t normally do antepost flat bets with the race so far away but have backed him for this at 25/1.
