i think that firenze has an exellent chance of winning this race today. does anyone have any opinion on why he might not be up to the task. i know the ground is a bit soft but surely firenze is the bes horse in the race.
Wouldn’t put you off backing her if you don’t mind the shortish price. My concern would be that she finishes from of the pace which is not the easiest thing to do at York. Fanshawe is in good form and I’m a great admirer of him as a trainer.
I looked through this and decided that Firenze just has too many ticks to be opposed. I’m not so worried about the ‘come from behind’ factor with the ground this soft, and couldn’t see anything solid against her…
I agree that Firenze is the one to beat but I would suggest Theann as the danger. Placed at this level already this season the going may bring an improvement from recent runs. Probably still back Fanshawe’s runner.
By the way love the name of the 4.30 York, should be a TASTY handicap.
