Buick wont be riding for a week.
His Mum and Dad have grounded him for being late home for his bed time story.

    Ryan smiling,
    Probably constipated

That last race was a cracker, the horse that finished 2nd done well considering only 2nd start and 1st run of the season.

    LOL…or wind

Yes Prize Money also looked amazing in the paddock and money came late for him as the fav drifted a little…but Taqdeer came from out of the blue and overcame interference to take the race.

The ground had really dried out today and it showed in the results. The bookies weren’t smiling tonight as they went home like they were 2000 Guineas night. :yahoo:

Lumiere just wanted to be last today, she was last leaving the paddock, last going down and last in the race.
Things can only get better. She still looked stunning on the day. :rose:

Not the first time I’ve seen that when he’s been on Minding – got to be a tip in itself!

    Great photos

Just a note on Trixia who didn’t turn up at Newmarket.

Fireglow was beaten just over 4 lengths by Minding yesterday in finishing fourth. When Trixia met Fireglow last October she had the other filly back in the same 4th position and did so by an easy 3 and a half lengths.

Obviously a literal reading of those form lines would have had Trixia right in the mix in yesterday’s Guineas.

The owners moved Trixia to Alain De Royer Dupre and he not only couldn’t get her ready for the Prix Imprudence but she also looked far from fully wound up in her later reappearance 4th to Qemah on 20th April.

Original trainer Frederic Rossi had trained Trixia to go 4/4 and had been eyeing the Guineas with her, I wonder how the owner feels now that Alain De Royer Dupre has gone 0/1 and ruled the filly out of the Guineas about two days after he had said she was heading to Newmarket. Bigger names do not always equate to better and if I was an owner I would only be thinking about changing stables if the horse was disappointing or deteriorating.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
