February 12, 2008 at 09:35 #142493Good luck Zoso – you only need a couple of these to lose to turn a profit
February 12, 2008 at 13:23 #142526Thanks David.

February 12, 2008 at 13:53 #142542Well done to get that one beaten. I find it slightly unusual that you aren’t using level stakes, but whatever works for you I guess!
February 12, 2008 at 13:56 #142545The lays are to level stakes. They are all layed to win 1 point.

Thanks Zoso. I worked that out from your figures. That’s not level stakes though. You are risking different amounts on each horse and are varying this directly according to the price they are trading at, rather than your own assessment of how strongly you feel they might be beaten.
February 13, 2008 at 09:08 #142698I know exactly what I am doing but thanks for the advice. I am looking to win 1 point from each bet by laying horses that I believe are underpriced. As they are all odds on shots the maximum risk is 1 point from any lay (counting 2.0 as odds on although 2.0 is neither odds on nor odds against). The risk from each bet is always 1 point or lower, generally speaking it will be between 1/2point and 1 point risk although every once in a blue moon a horse trading at 1.21 will come along that I want to take a stand against.
The 10 lays will finish in profit, I told everyone that before I started them, I am still telling them that after the first 3 lays won. People on here are quick to assume that I dont understand or that I am wrong, however these people will be proved to be wrong, talk is cheap and my actions will speak louder than any of the small minded peoples words.February 13, 2008 at 11:35 #1427511)2:45 Newbury – DENMAN at 1.21 = 1st

5) 3:50 Musselburgh – HALLA SAN @ 1.88 = 1stRunning Profit/Loss = -1.73 points
A somewhat embarrasing run of results that reflects my current form. Still a measly 1.73 points in negative and I still make myself a heavy odds on shot to finish the 10 lays in profit.

February 13, 2008 at 22:03 #142929Zoso,
I’m definitely not trying to tell you that you’re doing anything wrong, I was just curious and interested as to your approach. If it works for you, that’s fine. I won’t bother you any further.

February 13, 2008 at 22:47 #142939I have two points to make in this thread..
1. Danetime Lord was 2nd 11/10 and therefor shouldn’t count (unless I’m missing something).
2. If Triple Crown has sent messages for members to join his forum via the private messenger and this can be proven then I agree he ought to be banned.
Members in the past have been banned for similar.(this is for Cormack to decide though). That is all!
