Before handing over the cash a punter does
not
know
if the Evens, 2/1, 7/1 or 10/1 shot will be the best investment (win). So the
"what’s the value in a big priced loser"
? question does not come in to it. He just needs to evaluate/ask which "
risk
" is worth the
potential return
? And knowing the top price 10/1 shot needs to have a better than 9% chance of winning for me to believe it "value" helps me answer the latter question.
Wish I knew you had tipped The Lark to win Gord. Wouldn’t have backed Sea Of Approval had I known. Where was this analysis before the race? I didn’t see it anywhere.
You mean to say Gordie Boy thought The Lark should’ve been odds-on, over 50% chance of winning, that’s over 17% better than the 2/1 (33%) offered!!! Best I’ve ever managed is 12%. Yet you kept it to yourself!
Why didn’t you tell your legions of fans about this exceptional value bet Gord?
Wish you hadn’t left it until
after
the race.
