Fair Along is drifting primarily because his trainer has expressed fears about the heavy ground. Interestingly Fair Alongs best rating was achieved when slamming My Way De Solzen and New Little Bric on soft ground at Sandown. I hold no fears whatsoever over his ability to handle really soft ground.
Also Cheltenham have saved a strip of ground on the inside for this meeting and it’ll possibly ride slightly better than the rest of the course.
You know what will happen Fair Along will make the running on the better ground and I really can’t see anything troubling him. 7/2 is a silly price.
