Only a National horse for Chris’sake!!!!!
He won the National by 14l, was 2nd the following year carrying top weight on the wrong ground, won a gd3 wfa, placed in 3 gd1 wfa chases, earned a RPR of 170 and a t/s of 167, mostly on the wrong ground, and dismissed as only a National horse.
He is a high class horse, who earned his Gold Cup place on merit, not to be dismissed lightly by someone who happened to glance at a form book and
dismissed the top 2 to devalue it!
Talking of glancing I didn’t say he was "only" a national horse I said he was a National horse which he is he’s best known for his national performances. He’s not going to win top grade one chases at around three miles.
