Yesterday was agonizing first with Ancient State’s wayward behaviour on the run to the line then Angel Gabriel being all locked up and nowhere to go until too late.
I read although haven’t counted that Joseph O’Brien has fourteen runners in today’s Irish Cesarewitch which I find quite astonishing to say the least. All the rage seems to be his Sky Captain however I’m siding with Henry De Bromhead and TIM TOE e/w who’s Ascot appearance is working out well. Last seen at Royal Ascot in the Ascot Stakes when third on a handicap mark just 3lb lower. Since that race the winner has come 2hd in a Group 3, the second won at the Goodwood festival then followed up in a Group 2 over in France. Although the fifth maybe lets the form down the sixth was second at Goodwood before winning at the Ebor meeting. Eighth at Ascot was Beylerbeyi who’s run with credit since. With the form well supported and registering good numbers on the day the selection looks to hold good chances of at least a place if not winning.
good luck to all
