lovely man met him on a train after evening sandown meeting, carried his saddle up the stairs for him. Chatted and he told me keep my eye out later in the year for a horse called filpe toro(sp?) in the Portland, well low and behold it won, if my memory is correct because of conditions it was a flag start. Anyway back to the man he chatted to me on that train journey as though i had been a friend for many years. Always now i tell the grand kids this story. RIP peace John and i will never forget the lovely nature you had.
