I must admit I’m much more aligned with Matt’s point of view rather than Nick’s.
It has to be said, like other racing presenters and pundits that Nick is on the payroll of bookmakers (William Hill) and could have a conflict of interest. In fact he said as much later on in the programme, although not on this specific issue.
It’s funny how little Nick and the others refer to bookmakers restrictions. I can’t have a bet on the horses with William Hill and the others but can play their casinos, as Hills regular emails tell me. I was flooded by emails from William Hill (nearly every day) a few months ago encouraging me to play their games, I resisted the temptation.
