A pity JOB didn’t pitch in Thundering On here. Really fancied her for it but they went for the Blandford. Given the ICS result she might have gone very close. Item and Almaqam were feeling the effects of that tough York battle I think- there is only a 24 day interval between races which isn’t enough after a big G1 effort.
I agree with the pacemaker comments about Lambourn- we’ll probably see the likes of Xmas Day and Pierre Bonnard doing the job for Darkness Falls next year- or they’ll keep poor old Hawk Mountain and Montreal in training to do it
