100% of my gambling is done in shops or on course.
I was getting too good at finding winners then handing it back betting on bad midweek all weather racing. So I closed all my accounts and now only bet when I have time spare to go to the bookies and an afternoon watching racing without the wife and kids attempting to gain joint custody of the remote.
I’d imagine most people on here have been guilty of the same behaviour as I was. Betting shops can be brilliant community hubs when well ran by knowledgeable staff. Sadly thats rarely the case. There is just something infinitely more satisfying than walking into the bookies a day after a decent win and walking out with your wallet bulging than seeing the numbers on a screen!
