Absolutely Landafar, he was certainly showing a few nerves yesterday in the final and in his previous final vs Wakelin a year or so ago, naturally. However this win his first ranking trophy should also give him confidence. He certainly has the talent but so do many others. Interesting to see Chang praise his defence game against either Trump or Ronnie. His attacking style is a joy to watch him in full flow. I’d imagine this time next year he’d have cemented a top 16 place and won’t need the joys of the qualifying rounds of the World Championship. I believe he was provisionally 14th in the rankings before yesterday’s win but that has nothing to do with qualifying for the 2027 event. Don’t forget he got knocked out by Brecel and hasn’t experienced the crucible yet so you right to hold those fears. I maybe wrong but I believe as things stand he’ll only have to play one game to qualify for the 2027 version.
