I see The Great Leader has ruled out* a General Election this year.
As I said on the previous page, on balance it was unlikely. My highly speculative punt was only due to the price.
He owes his position to a lot of compliant backbenchers. Given that a snap election would probably cost at least 70 of them their seats, I doubt they would have thanked him.
* He also stated on 15 separate occasions that he would serve a full term as Mayor of Manchester, so his word is not worth much.
