I think he’s massively overated to be honest. We had this with Field Of Gold, everyone seems to gush over the leading 3yo miler. To his credit he keeps on winning but he keeps beating the same horse and everyone says the older milers are crap but this Gstaad barely beat the older milers. Bow Echo is clearly the best miler but all the hyperbole comparing him to past greats are wide of the mark for me. I don’t believe the Guineas run I never have done, Gstaad is clearly better than he showed that day and everything else was terrible. Who even finished 3rd?
