He was a fine chaser and was a decent hurdler as well. If he had been trained by anyone else, he would probably have lined up in the Champion Hurdle in 2014 but it looked like Mullins didn’t want to run him against Hurricane Fly.
He was unfortunate to run into Sprinter Sacre when the script seemed to be written for the great comeback but he made for a great sight when jumping spectacularly and making all the running in the Ryanair the following year.
