What has this to do with Paul Townend?

Ruby – I am finding our discussion to be enjoyable and informative. I respect your passion and pride in the UK/IRE NH racing product. Personally, I fell in love with it back in 1982 when I moved to Scotland.
Concerning Paul Townend, I will repeat, he is a capable rider. However, there is probably a couple of dozen or so riders in the UK/IRE/France that would enjoy the same success if given the horses he gets to ride. Bar the Auteuil race, when was the last time he won on a horse that was better that 5-1. Per the Sporting Life going back to April 6; his winners were 2/9, 1/1, 2/1, 1/8, 7/2, 2/7, 8/13, 7/2, 5/6, 8/11, 9/2 (GN), 100/30, 9/4.
