“Reform are not popular in the Liverpool region.”
I think there is one seat on Merseyside that Reform will win at the next election: Southport.
The seat passed between the Conservatives and the Lib Dems between 1987 and 2019. There was a significant UKIP vote in 2015 which allowed the Lib Dems to hold on but that vote went to the Conservatives in 2017.
Labour won the seat for the first time in 2024, with the Conservatives in second and Reform in a strong third place. But Labour have next to no chance of holding the seat. Let’s just say that Starmer is not popular in the town now, to put it mildly.
