Lovely article about him in The Times by his owner. Was amused at the bit in which she said in his younger days they found him half way up a tree chasing something. A few years ago I noticed that Patterdales were becoming very popular as pets ( they do look very cute) and wondered if people knew what they were letting themselves in for. I got chatting to an old farmer at a country fair about this and he pointed out that he’d always had Patterdales and when they are in pursuit of their prey they will literally climb a tree to get to it. Ted’s owner said they’d had to build a big fence round their garden to Ted proof it.
