Couldn’t see it clearly due to the angle from drone footage but he appeared to take a false step when attempting to take off far too early – front end came back down on the fence and he ploughed through it. He might have been injured just a few yards before the fence.
I can’t begin to imagine what the yard is going through today – the ultimate glory ruined by the tragic, horrific loss to one of their favourites and one of the most wonderful and universally appreciated stories of the National Hunt season
