After walking the course with the COC Unibet Nicky decided the ground is just too quick for him. That’s a new dimension of ruling out a horse, if you just walk out there down the course and make a gut decision about the going being unsuitable.
It’ll be interesting to watch Saturday’s racing at Newbury and find out if more trainers decided like Nicky. Presumably there must have been other trainers there as well. One can’t imagine the COC walking the course just with the Unibet trainer next to him.
