I do feel sorry for Rose. He was in a position where he had to back himself to win but it simply didn’t happen.
Scheffler had a bizarre tournament. Decent first round but found himself 12 behind at halfway. And then only lost by 1! That included a putt on 17 that missed by millimetres and he was poor on the par 5s all week (although the birdie on the 15th on Sunday was incredible).
Agree about Faldo. Unlike some online commenters, I do quite like him. I admired his achievements as a player and I think he does sometimes offer insight as a commentator. But as you say Richard, his chatter on the 18th with the tournament on the line was utterly bizarre.
