A bad result for Morecambe last night. 2-1 up on Hartlepool with 15 minutes remaining but lost 3-2. After Gateshead’s win, it leaves them 6 points from safety with only 6 games left – and none of them are going to be easy, to say the least.
It does now look like it will be Brackley and Morecambe in NLN next season. If so, Morecambe would be well advised to stick with Jim Bentley. It won’t be his fault if they do get relegated and at least he has experience of managing in NLN after the best part of two seasons with Southport.
