A glimpse at the CAMRA Discourse forum revealed a discussion on the news article about queueing up in pubs. Suffice to say it has not drawn a chorus of approval, with a few comments about young people not knowing about pub etiquette.
Sometimes they are more like The Real Ale Tw*ts in “Viz” than they realise, although I believe the characters are quite popular in CAMRA circles.
At least there were no queues in this pub:
