ATR reported that Cooper said ADO bled, hence pulling up so quickly. Hopefully that’s all that will surface. may have to have some more on now considering his drift.
To my eyes it seemed to go wrong after the mistake ,rather than, the quite frankly ridiculous comment that it was outclassed. As long as it’s not serious I’m keeping faith. Will be very interesting to hear any news from connections though.
Seemed to be travelling well until a sight mistake 4/5/6 out (not quite sure which one), then lost ground quickly before being pulled up after the next again quickly. Hopefully nothing too wrong but have a feeling something went wrong with him.

I’m in full agreement with you Zark, if I remember correctly Mouse said that ADO was the best horse he’d trained (War of Attrition included) around Cheltenham last year. On the back of that comment along with Tizzards regarding Thistlecrack going Gold Cup I snapped them both up at 10’s and 8’s respectively in a double only to small stakes but still onto win 700+. ADO reminds me very much of First Lieutenant’s campaign as a novice. Not entirely sure he’ll win tomorrow but come March he’ll come in first out of anything in this field
I’m all over Lockheed here, especially at the prices 5/1 compared to 11/8 Best of Days. Admittedly Best of Days was very impressive at Sandown but I really liked how Lockheed has been brought along since his debut where I thought he was going to get past Seven Heavens. Does anyone know how well Best of Days’ maiden win is working out compared to Lockheed 2?
I’d stick to hurdles and try to dominate the division for as long as possible. To my eyes, Thistlecrack is not a good jumper – he often corkscrews in the air and ‘guesses’ at his hurdles. He only survives these mistakes (and makes them look insignificant) because he always has plenty of energy.
I would NOT like to see Thistlecrack steaming around Cheltenham’s chase course or attempting to bunnyhop the fences on a sharper track like Kempton. The horse gambles too much with his jumping and looks like a candidate for a proper pearler.
That’s just my own impression of the horse’s technique and I would love to be proved wrong, but I will be very nervous if he ever moves away from hurdling.
I see why this view can be taken, however i disagree, he reminds me a little bit of how No More Heroes jumped hurdles, Elliot went on record saying he just didn’t respect hurdles enough and we all know how well he jumped a fence. The way Thistlecrack jumped the last in the Long Walk screamed chaser to me and i for one very much look forward to seeing him in the Gold Cup next year.March 22, 2016 at 14:30 in reply to: STARTERS ORDERS/TRF CHELTENHAM COMPETITION – Win a copy of Starters Orders 6 #1239381
I’m guessing as there were only 2 entrants (admittedly i was late as well) the keycodes aren’t being released. Completely understandable if this is the case. Would just like to know, as have exams to procrastinate for!! CheersMarch 16, 2016 at 12:23 in reply to: STARTERS ORDERS/TRF CHELTENHAM COMPETITION – Win a copy of Starters Orders 6 #1237973

There was an article on Racingpost quoting Mullins was ‘seriously considering’ Black hercules for JLT, however it was removed before i could read it. This was a matter of minutes ago.
I know manny have written off Pont Alexandfre after his beating by Roi Des Francs, he too runs tomorrow in Ireland. I still have faith in him, admittedly this is my pocket talking as I’m just hoping he still retains all thr ability he once had and that it was the bounce factor that got him beaten after his huge layoff. He’s 5/2 tomorrow against Monksland who in turn has some decent form (nothing like what’s needed for a race like the RSA), i can see Pont winning tomorrow quite easily, hopefully in the same manner as No More Heroes dispatched of Monksland. What do others think?
