Redkirk Warrior is plenty short at 12/1, I don’t think he wants fast ground or 6 furlongs in an ideal world. Hopefully Brando and Sir Dancealot stay above him in price and I’ll be looking to take him on uno v uno as they both relish the July course.
The race as a whole is tricky, I can’t put my finger on any one in particular with great confidence so I’ll stay out of the win market.

Tough race to call but I was surprised to see James Garfield at 16’s. Has 9-6 on his back but SDS on board again after staying on over 6f in a group 2 run in a fast time. Just a nibble for interest.June 20, 2018 at 08:45 in reply to: TRF Royal Ascot Competition 2018 Rules, Selections and Leaderboard #1357474

For anyone interested in the French Derby today there is a chance of the New Approach double with Hey Gaman running for James Tate. Narrowly pipped in the French Guineas he should stay and has form on softer ground. Dodgy draw but 18/1 is pretty good seeing as it doesn’t look the strongest of races.
Sorry, missed last week.

I was tempted on Lubinka but PCH said he would like to see rain as he pulled her from the Lingfield trial because the ground was too lively. No rain as far as I can tell, maybe some light drizzle this morning.
He also said this trip might be a bit sharp for her. Ejtyah also missed an engagement because of fast ground.
I was interested in Ceilidhs Dream yesterday but she was too short for a race like this on the form she has shown. Now at 7/2 I think she’s well worth a crack. Ralph Beckett thinks the ground will be right up her street and the hood that Jac mentioned is now taken off as she was almost ‘too relaxed’ last time out.
He doesn’t think she’ll get 12f but might get a supplementary entry in the Oaks if she really impresses. Shutter Speed won this last year and Gosden used it as a trial for the French version so maybe Mr. Beckett is thinking among the same lines.
It’s a tricky little event although uninspiring overall on known form but who knows, we could have a special one in there somewhere.
Ceilidh’s Dream 7/2
Give it back to Deauville. It was much better there.
oh its the track from what I can gather, now that I have given it more attention.
There was an outcry from a few jocks, notably Christophe Soumillon, when they were racing there a couple of weeks back.

Jean-Claude struggled at times last year with the virus outbreak setting him back. I hope he can bring something good enough to challenge over on these shores again.
Nonsense betting for me today, lazy sunday with a few notes here and there. Amateurish at best.
What is going on at the moment? I’m watching the French channel in the background with no translation and I didn’t even realise the time. Is this another protest moment?
