FRENCH turned up at York last week looking the biggest strongest filly in the field, but i did wonder if she had been dropped in at the deep end, and this proved to be the case, but i still think physically she is upto winning races at a lesser level.

RAVENHOE also showed up at York but had a tough task of conceding 10lb to a good looking sort AREEN this Kevin Ryan trained 2 year old finished in front of RAVENHOE and is a definite for the note book and could go on to be something special id give AREEN **

Another Ryan 2 year old that caught my eye was WHITE BULLET who also ran at York, in the paddock he looked like he would come on for the race and ran on strongly to finish 3rd, one for the note books.

A 3 year old maiden again trained by Kevin Ryan who is a very imposing sort was a definite paddock eyecatcher at Ripon on Sunday, there was a question mark about the colt staying the 1m 1f distance, but im not doubting his staying ability more the fact that he will perform better on a flat track, it looked to me that the Ripon undulations unbalanced this strong big striding horse, so much so he bumped the rail not far from the finish, he was beaten closely by a Godolphin horse and i think COUNT MONTECRISTO will go on to win races
